Funeral services for James Lee Barkley will be held Thursday, Jan. 4, 2018 at 2 p.m. at the Welty Full Gospel
Chapel in Welty, Okla. Interment will follow at the Welty Cemetery.
James Lee Barkley was born June 17, 1987 in Shawnee,
Okla. to James Ray Barkley and Sonya (McClain) Barkley. He passed away Friday, Dec. 29, 2017 at his home near Welty at the age of 30.
James was a 2006 graduate of Prague High School. He enjoyed music, rodeos and telling stories. There was never a dull moment when he was around and he will be dearly missed.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents; Charles McClain, Georgie and Eddie Bluford and Eugene Barkley;
two sisters, Melissa Kay and Ashley Nicole Barkley; one uncle, Ricky McClain and two aunts, Glenda Bailey and Vicky McClain.
Survivors include his parents, James and Sonya Barkley
of the home; one sister, Cristy Barkley of Welty and grandmother, Virginia McClain of Welty.
Serving as active pallbearers will be Terry Dyer, Dustin Aldridge, Conner McGee, Jamie McClain, Kyler Bradley and Curt Haskins.
Services will be under the direction of Parks Brothers
Funeral Home, Okemah, and officiated by Rev. Will Gordon.
