Funeral services for Peggy Ann Kinsey will be held Thursday, September 12, 2019 at 10:00 AM graveside at Highland Cemetery in Okemah.
Peggy Ann Kinsey was born May 13, 1931 in Okemah, Oklahoma to Dewey Clifton Earnest and Margie Bell (Coslett) Earnest. She passed away Monday, September 9, 2019 in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the age of 88.
Mrs Kinsey married Donald Dean Kinsey on May 14, 1949 in Wewoka, Oklahoma. To this marriage, three daughters were born, Donna Jean, Mary Marie and Deana Ann.
Donald and Peggy made their home in their early marriage in Lone Grove, Oklahoma while Donald worked for Grimes Gasoline Company. They later moved back to Okemah with Grimes Gasoline Company which later became Deisenroth Gas Products.
Mrs. Kinsey was an incredible cook who made the best cornbread and fried potatoes. Before the loss of her husband, she cooked three full course meals every day and her kitchen was always clean. She was also a good housekeeper. Mrs. Kinsey grew a nice garden and canned many vegetables from her garden.
Mrs. Kinsey was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Dean Kinsey on March 24, 1991. She is also preceded in death by her parents; five brothers and one sister.
Survivors include three daughters and their spouses, Donna and Tony Hawkins, Mary and Keith (Chip) Magness JR, Deana and Charles Peavler.
Grandchildren and their spouses, Gena and Jimmy Rice, Austin and Kyra Hawkins, Quinton and Courtney Magness, Donald William and Carlee Magness, Katelyn Peavler, Justin Peavler.
Great-grandchildren, Kinsey Ann and Addyson Shelbi Rice, Scottlynn and Keaton Hawkins, Kade and Collin Magness, Cash and Scarlett Magness.
Three brothers, Dois Earnest and wife Clara of Okmulgee; Doil Earnest and wife Betty of Tulsa and Buddy Earnest and wife Gloria of Mason; four sisters, Lois Garrison and husband Ray of Okmulgee, Darlene Welfl and husband Maurice of Oregon, Sally McElyea and husband Jim of Tulsa and Linda Orr of Okemah.
Services will be under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Home and officiated by Frank Earnest.
