Cameron Duncan, Landon Dennis selected as Homecoming royalty

The freshman attendant was Avery Vick. Avery is the daughter of Lee and Leslie Vick and the granddaughter of Ron Vick, Sandra Vick, Lynn Maas and the late Sunny Maas. Avery is a first year member of the OHS cheer team and the OHS track team. Avery is also a member of the gifted and talented program. In her free time Avery enjoys reading, riding horses, hanging out with her friends and fighting with her sisters.

Avery’s escort was Mason Cruz. Mason is a junior and the son of Cynthia L’Ecuyer and the grandson of Wonda Little. Mason has played football for two years, basketball for one year and baseball for one year. In his free time Mason enjoys hanging out with his twin brother Mikey, as well as his friends. 

The sophomore attendant was Rya White. Rya is the daughter of Noah and Amy White and the granddaughter of Roland and Jeane Birkes, Virginia White, and Kevin and Robin Cornelius. Rya is a two year member of OHS band, gifted and talented, beta club, upward bound and the academic team. Rya enjoys doing color guard, reading and hanging out with her friends. 

Rya’s escort was Korbyn Vansant. Korbyn is a junior and the son of Robert and Laura Vansant and Brandi and Jeremy Cox and the grandson of Lonnie and Pam Lancaster and Kathey and Terry Dodson. Korbyn has played football for three years, golf for three years and been in band for three years. Korbyn is also a member of beta club and the national honor society. In his free time Korbyn enjoys playing video games and hanging out with friends. 

The junior attendant was Hannah Howeth. Hannah is the daughter of Andrea Walkup and Charles Howeth, Jr. and the granddaughter of Branda and the late David Walkup and Janet and Charles Howeth. Hannah is a member of FCCLA, yearbook staff, c-club, gifted and talented and she has been the football manager for two years. In her free time Hannah enjoys hanging out with friends, family and Brenan Johnson and working at Sonic.

Hannah’s escort was Jesse Wingate. Jesse is a senior and the son of Christopher and Tiffany Wingate and the grandson of Cuba Odom. Jesse has played football for three years. He enjoys hunting, fishing and working on trucks. After graduation Jesse plans to work as a diesel mechanic. 

Adrian Martin was a senior candidate. Adrian is the daughter of Trey and Serena Jordan and John and Alieda Martin and the granddaughter of Charles and Sharron Bass. Adrian is a four year member of the softball team, a three year member of the national honor society and a two year member of beta club, c-club and student council. Adrian’s hobbies include hanging out with her friends and her boyfriend Hagen. After high school Adrian plans to become an EMT and paramedic and work for the Oklahoma City Fire Department. 

Adrian’s escort was William Copeland. Will is a senior and the son of JimBill and Darlene Copeland and the grandson of Mary Ellen and the late James Copeland, Steve and Cathy Trulock and Jarvis Annis. Will has played football for four years, powerlifting for four years, ag for one year, hosa member for two years, class vice-president, model congress and national honor society. In his free time, Will enjoys bow hunting and duck hunting, hanging out at fiesta mart with his buddies and fishing with his family. After high school William will head to AIT and train as a combat medic with the Oklahoma National Guard, then go to college and become a nurse. 

Cameron Duncan was also a senior candidate. Cameron is the daughter of Amy and Daren Duncan and the granddaughter of Gerald and Barbara Duncan and the late Fred and Dorothy Barrow. Cameron has played softball for four years and basketball for four years. Cameron is a four year member of student council, a three year member of beta club, national honor society, Oklahoma honor society, as well as an Oklahoma academic scholar and Oklahoma Fast Pitch All State. Cameron’s hobbies are spending time with her family and her best friend Sophie. After high school, Cameron plans to go to college and major in biology. 

Cameron’s escort was Landon Dennis. Landon is a senior and the son of Jada and Ed Dennis and the grandson of Richard and the late Sandra Shepard and Ed and Katie Dennis. Landon has played football for four years and weight lifting for four years. In his free time, Landon enjoys hanging out with friends and family and eating, Landon says he really loves food. After high school, Landon plans to go straight to work then in a few years go to college. 

Sarah Stovall was the final senior candidate. Sarah is the daughter of Julie and Jay Stovall and the granddaughter of Sharon and Don Shannon and the late Gwen and Dale Stovall. Sarah has cheered for four years and been a member of band for five years. Sarah is also a four year member of student council, a three year member of beta club, national honor society and Oklahoma honor society. In her free time, Sarah enjoys spending time with her family, friends and her boyfriend Eric as well as having fun with her cheer girls and playing in band with her friends. After graduation, Sarah plans to attend the University of Central Oklahoma and study forensic science. 

Sarah’s escort was Wacey Williams. Wacey is a senior and the son of Valerie and Patrick Williams and the grandson of Zella and the late Harold Brewer and Carolyn and Shug Smith. Wacey has played four years of football, basketball and track and played three years of baseball. Wacey was all-district in football and a state runner-up in the high jump. Wacey is a four year member of student council, este cate club, a three year member of beta club, national honor society and Oklahoma honor society, a two year member of model congress, a one year member of FCP and a six year unified partner with special Olympics. Wacey enjoys hanging out with his girlfriend Bailee, hunting and fishing, shading in his calculator in Mr. Dean’s calculus class and getting snacks from his nanny every day. After high school, Wacey plans to play football at the University of Central Oklahoma and major in kinesiology. 

The flower girl was kindergartner Scarlett Magness. Scarlett is the daughter of D.W. and Carlee Magness and the granddaughter of Shug and Carolyn Smith and Chip and Mary Magness. Scarlett is a cheerleader for Okemah Little League and is a member of the gifted and talented program as well as a member of the Okemah Church of Christ. Scarlett enjoys riding her four-wheeler, making videos, going fishing with her papa, jumping on the trampoline, hanging out with her best friend Korbin and watching her favorite Panther, Wacey Williams.

Scarlett’s escort was the kindergarten crown bearer, Korbin Cook. Korbin is the son of Laura and Kyle Cook and the grandson of Shelly and David Dunson and Sammy and Kaye Cook. Korbin has played Okemah Little League Baseball for two years and is a member of the gifted and talented program. Korbin’s hobbies consist of building legos, playing football, baseball and soccer and watching scary movies, going to the lake and hanging out with his family.
