MCALESTER, Okla., Oct. 29, 2019 – An electric system improvement project will result in a scheduled 4-5 hour power outage for PSO customers in Okemah, Boley and Castle beginning at 11 p.m. on Monday, November 4.

The scheduled outage will allow PSO to move

a transmission line and i

nstall a mobile substation in preparation for additional line work.

“We want to make sure our customers in Okemah, Boley and Castle are aware of this scheduled outage so they can make any necessary arrangements,” said Frank Phillips, PSO External Affairs Manager in McAlester.  “We hope to limit the inconvenience to the extent possible, which is why we’ve chosen to begin this project late at night, so that it will be wrapped up early the following morning prior to people getting up for work and school.”

Approximately 2,200 PSO customers will be affected by the scheduled outage.
