Private family services will be held for Nancy Ellen Davault. A celebration of life service to honor Nancy will be held at a later date.

Nancy Ellen Davault was born October 29, 1935 in Cherokee, Oklahoma to Charles Oscar Blew and Audrey Maurine (Hutchins) Blew. She passed away Tuesday, April 28, 2020 in Okemah, Oklahoma at the age of 84.

Mrs. Davault was a graduate of Cherokee High School. She later attended the Oklahoma College for Women in Chickasha, Oklahoma and later graduated from Oklahoma State University with a degree in Music Education. On August 16, 1958, in Cherokee, Oklahoma, she married Vernon Davault and they later made their home in Okemah. Mrs. Davault taught piano to countless students in Okemah since 1966. She had also taught in Ponca City and Newkirk, Oklahoma. Mrs. Davault was a devoted and longtime member of St. Paul’s United Methodist Church in Okemah where she played piano and helped with the United Methodist Women. She also volunteered with CASA of Okemah and was inducted into the Okemah Hall of Fame.

She is preceded in death by her parents.

Survivors include her husband, Vernon Davault of Okemah; her son, Jeff Davault and partner Joe Cox of Norman, Oklahoma; daughter, Julie Carter and husband Ted of Okemah; her brother, Charles D. Blew and wife Kathy of Stillwater, Oklahoma and two grandchildren, Catelyn and Hesston.

Services will be under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Home.

Due to the COVID-19 governor’s executive order; no more than 10 people are allowed to be in attendance. The services will be streamed live via the Parks Brothers Funeral Home Facebook page, Friday, May 1st at 10:00 AM.

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Mrs. Davault may be made at the United Methodist Boys Ranch, 97332 Highway 10 A, Gore, OK 74435 or to the American Cancer Society.

Viewing will be Thursday, 12:00 – 8:00 PM at the Parks Brothers Funeral Home, Okemah, Oklahoma.
