Ruby Faye Stacy was born June 20, 1930 in Olustee, Oklahoma to Robert L. Wilson and Bertha Roberta (Estoll) Wilson. She passed away Monday, May 4, 2020 in Okemah, Oklahoma at the age of 89.
Ruby was a longtime resident of Okemah. She and G.C. “Short” Stacy were married August 5, 1947; he later preceded her in death June 1, 2010. Ruby was well known around the Okemah area for delicious fried pies. She also enjoyed quilting, spending time with family and was a devoted member of the United Pentecostal Church of Okemah.
Also preceding her in death were her parents; one daughter and son in law, Janice and Jerry Morris; daughter in law, Betty Stacy; 5 brothers and 5 sisters.
Survivors include her two sons, Larry Stacy and wife Jan of Fordyce, Arkansas and Greg Stacy and wife Brenda of Carrollton, Georgia; two daughters, Sandra Walls of Okemah and Roberta Maxwell and husband Gary of Guthrie, Oklahoma; one sister, Dorothy Clinton of Ceres, California; 16 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Home and officiated by Rev. David Shatwell and Rev. Thomas Wallace.
