Funeral services for Jimmy Dale Crosby were Friday, March 12, 2021 at 10:00 AM at the Parks Brothers Funeral Home Chapel in Okemah. Interment followed at the Morse Cemetery.
Jimmy Dale Crosby was born February 26, 1936 in Okemah to Robert F. “Frank” Crosby and Sylvia Jane (Smiley) Crosby. He passed away Tuesday, March 9, 2021 in Okemah at the age of 85.
J.D. was a lifelong resident of the Okemah area. He was a retired mechanic and was also the owner and operator of Crosby’s Laundromat in Okemah from 1984 – 2001. J.D. enjoyed yardwork, fishing and working with the Okfuskee County Historical Center. On October 26, 1984, in Hot Springs, Ark., he married Mary Ann Crosby.
He is preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Virgil and Clifford and two sisters, Helen Brown and Delois Apfeld.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Ann Crosby of the home; two sons, Ronnie D. Crosby and wife Tina of Texas and Tommy Brandt and wife Gina of Okemah; two daughters, Connie Goff and husband Tommy of Okemah and Penny Strunk and husband Jamie of Okemah; 11 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Serving as pallbearers were Michael Allen, Mark Crowe, Steven Tillery, Bradley Goff, Brandon Crosby, Ronnie Crosby Jr., Steve Brandt and Shaun Granstaff.
Honorary bearers include John Luckett, Ron Gott, Tommy Goff, Tommy Brandt, Wesley Scrimshire and James Strunk.
Services will be under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Home and officiated by Bro. Josh Hall.
