Dwight Forrest Montgomery

Funeral services for Dwight Forrest Montgomery will be held Tuesday, February 25, 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Garden Grove Missionary Baptist Church of Prague, Oklahoma. Interment will follow at the Garden Grove Cemetery.

Dwight Forrest Montgomery was born June 12, 1927 in Prague, Oklahoma to Alvin Forrest Montgomery and Pearl (Stiffler) Montgomery. He passed away Wednesday, February 19, 2025 at his home in Prague, Oklahoma at the age of 97.

Mr. Montgomery was a resident of Prague, Oklahoma most all of his life and was a graduate of Centerview High School. He and Laverne Coomer were married September 30, 1947; she later preceded him in death in 2012. Mr. Montgomery worked with the Parks Brothers Hardware Company for over 50 years. He was always a hard worker and was also a meticulous gardener.

Also preceding him in death were his parents and three sisters, Viva Stacy, Mary Wade and Jo Davis.

Survivors include his son, Dale Montgomery and wife Janie of Shawnee; one daughter, Linda Eubanks of Prague, Oklahoma; five grandchildren, Brent Dostal and wife Ronda of Mannford, Dyawna Shields of Glenpool, Travis Montgomery and wife Jana of Edmond, Tere Ralls of Oklahoma City and Ryan Ralls of Edmond; 7 great-grandchildren, Jacob, Miriam and Anna Dostal, Kierian and Kade Shields and Corbin and Drennan Ralls and four great-great-grandchildren, Lyric Ross, Nahni and Kaylee Ralls and Catherine Wills.

Serving as pallbearers will be Brent Dostal, Travis Montgomery, Ryan Ralls, Jacob Dostal, Kade Shields and Drennan Ralls.

Services will be under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Home, Okemah, Oklahoma and officiated by Bro. Matt Raines.
