Sharon Gail Vance was born November 10, 1953 in Okemah, Oklahoma to Herman Williams and Lois (Morphis) Williams. She passed away Thursday, February 21, 2019 at her home near Bearden at the age of 65.
Sharon was a lifelong resident of the Okemah and Bearden area. She and Jim Vance were married July 14, 1977 in Bearden. Sharon was a loving homemaker who enjoyed making jewelry, baking, fishing and especially spending time with her family.
She is preceded in death by her parents; one infant brother, three sisters, Vina Cox, Joyce Whisnant and Judy Breedlove and one great-grandson, David.
Survivors include her husband, Jim Vance of the home; two daughters, Maylene Galbraith and husband Richard of Okemah and Peggy Nichols and husband Jody of Holdenville; two sisters, Sue Barnes and husband Phillip of Cromwell and Karen Vance of Sasakwa, Oklahoma; 5 grandchildren, Page Green and husband Kris of Holdenville, Heather Galbraith of Seminole, Amanda Galbraith of Okemah, A.J. Nichols of Holdenville and Thea Nichols of Holdenville and a host of nieces and nephews.
Serving as active pallbearers will be Richard Galbraith, Dennis Travis, Kris Green, Chris Miller, Chad Harjo and Heather Galbraith.
Services will be under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Home, Okemah, Oklahoma and officiated by Bro. Richard Underwood.
