Drietha Mae Whitlock

Drietha Mae (Ott) Whitlock was born on May 22, 1935, in Okemah, OK to Charlie and Beulah (Bryant) Ott. Drietha passed from this life on February 24, 2020 at Porta Caeli Hospice Home in Tulsa at the age of 84.

Drietha worked as a med aide for area care centers for many years. After retirement, she spent her time caring for her Mother, siblings, and friends. She loved to spend her afternoons with friends at the K Bar until it closed, and then changed to the local McDonalds.

She is preceded in death by her husband Franklin Ray Whitlock, her parents, Beulah and Charlie Ott, and her siblings: Russell, Grover, Earl, James, Pearl, Ruby, and Jewel “Imogene”.

Further survived and loved by many nephews and nieces, other relatives, friends, and caregivers. Known and loved as “Aunt DeeDee” by her nephews and nieces!

Funeral services will be Monday, March 2, 2020 at 11:30 AM at the Parks Brothers Funeral Home Chapel in Okemah. Interment will follow at the Highland Cemetery in Okemah.

Services will be under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Home.
