Funeral services for Phyllis Gayle Curry will be held Saturday, October 3, 2020 at 10:00 AM at the Parks Brothers Funeral Home Chapel in Okemah. Interment will follow at the Schoolton Cemetery west of Okemah.

Phyllis Gayle Curry was born September 28, 1945 in Okemah, Oklahoma to Clifford Anderson Barnes and Minnie Myrtle (Tinkle) Barnes. She passed away Thursday, October 1, 2020 at her home near Cromwell at the age of 75.

Mrs. Curry was a lifelong resident of the Cromwell area. She and Pat Curry were married May 4, 1962 in McAlester, Oklahoma; he later preceded her in death February 5, 2017. Mrs. Curry retired from Butner Schools after 13 years of working as a secretary. She enjoyed sewing and crocheting, genealogy, photography and most importantly, spending time with her family. She will be dearly missed.

Also preceding her in death were her parents; two sisters and four brothers.

Survivors include her son, Timothy Pat Curry of Cromwell; daughter, Gayle Lynn Curry of Oklahoma City; two brothers, Ronald Barnes of Sapulpa, Oklahoma and her twin brother, Phillip Barnes and wife Sue of Cromwell and three grandchildren, Alysha White of Shawnee, Madison Curry of Cromwell and Brynlee Skaggs of Seminole.

Services will be under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Home, Okemah, Oklahoma and officiated by Bro. Carl Whitfield.
