Benjamin Chotkey

A memorial service for Benjamin Chotkey was held Monday, March 8, 2021 at 6:00 PM at the Parks Brothers Funeral Home Chapel in Okemah.

Benjamin Chotkey, who was called “JoJo” or “Benji” by his family and friends, was born August 15, 2021 in Weleetka to Nancy and Raymond Chotkey. Benjamin departed from this life on February 26, 2021 in Tulsa at the age of 65.

Benji lived most of his life in Tulsa. He loved to explore all areas of Tulsa on his bike. He would go all over the city on his bike and especially loved to ride down Riverside. Benji loved listening to music, watching old western movies and going fishing. His biggest love of all were his cats. Benji was a friend to all and had a big heart and would help anyone in need. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him; his laughter, sense of humor and jokes will be cherished forever.

He is preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Willie Chotkey; niece, Rachael Severs and great niece, Donnita Severs.

Survivors are one sister, Lizzie Severs and husband Junior of Okemah; two brothers, Billy Chotkey of Tulsa and Raymond Chotkey Jr. of Weleetka; a special niece, Augustine Severs of Okemah and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Services were under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Home.
