Lloyd Dean Gaskill

Funeral services for Lloyd Dean Gaskill will be held Saturday, September 9, 2023 at 10:00 AM at the Last Chance Baptist Church. Interment will follow at the Okfuskee Cemetery.

Lloyd Dean Gaskill was born December 3, 1933 in Okfuskee, Oklahoma to George Washington Gaskill and Winifred (Gormly) Gaskill. He passed away Saturday, September 2, 2023 in Okemah, Oklahoma at the age of 89.

Lloyd was lifelong resident of Okfuskee, Oklahoma and a 1952 graduate of Okemah High School. On January 16, 1953 in Okemah, he married Villa Mae Castor; she later preceded him in death November 21, 2002. On August 31, 2003, at Last Chance, Oklahoma, he and Mary Christeen Carpenter were married. Lloyd worked many years as a rural mail carrier and was a longtime deacon of the Last Chance Baptist Church. He also enjoyed working and driving his tractor.

Also preceding him in death were his parents; two sons, Ronnie Gaskill and Rick Gaskill.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Christeen Gaskill of the home; one son, Gary Gaskill and wife Susan of Okemah; one sister, Betty Pool of Skiatook, Oklahoma; step children, Larry Carpenter and wife Vicki of Sand Springs, Sherrie Horacek of Tulsa and Forrest Carpenter and wife Sheri of Tulsa; four grandchildren, Jobe Gaskill and wife Lacee, Joy Peck and husband Mike, Josh Gaskill and wife Kelly and Cable Gaskill and wife Staci and great-grandchildren, Sailor, Jaxson, Case, Jessa, Jaxx, Deisel, Jacob, Jace, Jentry, Jordyn, Jocee, Kaylee and coming soon, Julia Mae.

Serving as pallbearers will be Jobe, Josh, Cable and Gary Gaskill, Forrest Carpenter and Kyle Kohlmeyer.

Services will be under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Home, Okemah, Oklahoma and officiated by Rev. Donald Baker.
