Georgia M. Wilson was born February 4, 1930 in Byers, Oklahoma to Chesley “Chet” Edgar Cheatwood and Ada Mae (Davis) Cheatwood. She passed away Thursday, June 27, 2024 at her home in Okemah at the age of 94.
Georgia was a resident of the Okemah area nearly all of her life. She worked at the Wrangler Plant in Okemah for many years before her retirement. She was also a caretaker for the elderly in Okemah. Georgia married Jesse Robert Wilson and he later preceded her in death. She enjoyed going to church and working with her flowerbeds and yard.
Also preceding her in death were her parents and four brothers.
Survivors include her four sons, Dewayne Wilson of Okemah, Darrell and Marilyn Wilson of Afton, Oklahoma, Danny and Rhonda Wilson of Okemah and Dennis Wilson of Okemah; her daughter, Rhonda Brown and husband Leo of Mounds; two sisters, Louise Parsons of Okemah and Billie Collins of Paden; 11 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren and 9 great-great-grandchildren.
Serving as active pallbearers will be Derek Wilson, Tim Wilson, Austin Wilson, Holden Marshall, Levi Fullbright and Matthew Fullbright.
Honorary bearers include Dennis Wilson Jr., Dylan Wilson, Jimmy Sessions, Dakota Summers and Tate Peters.
Services will be under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Home, Okemah, Oklahoma.
