Terry Von Vanzant Sr.
Terry Von Vanzant Sr. was born March 18, 1959 in Bristow, Oklahoma to Donald Lee Vanzant and Bobbie Lou (Youngblood) Vanzant. He passed away Tuesday, September 10, 2024 at his home near Welty, Oklahoma at the age of 65.
Terry was a lifelong resident of the Welty area. He worked as an oilrig driller and also proudly served his country with the United States Army. Terry enjoyed watching movies, telling stories and loved to just “drive around”.
He is preceded in death by his parents and one son, Troy.
Survivors include three children, Tamara Gill and husband Michael of Welty, T.J. Vanzant of Checotah and Tara Green and husband Justin of Checotah; four brothers, Larry Vanzant of Welty, Gary Vanzant of Eufaula, Steve Vanzant of Okemah and Donny Vanzant and wife Tina of Welty and grandchildren, Molly, Blake and Maggie Gill, Harper Vanzant and Tristan, Gavire, Dax, Andrew and Mackenzie Green.
Serving as active pallbearers will be T. J. Vanzant, Michael Gill, Justin Green, Blake Gill, Andrew Green and Dax Green.
Honorary pallbearers are Tristan and Gavire Green.
Services will be under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Home, Okemah, Oklahoma.
