Laquita Marque McEwin was born September 17, 1948 in Wetumka, Oklahoma to Leo and Darlene (Dearman) McEwin. She passed away Thursday, December 19, 2024 in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the age of 76.
Laquita was a resident of the Okemah area most all of her life. She worked as a casino manager before retirement and was a member of the United Pentecostal Church of Okemah where she lead the church choir. She enjoyed playing the piano, sewing and baking.
Her father, Leo, precedes her in death.
Survivors include her mother, Darlene McEwin of Okemah; two daughters, Heather Barrett and husband Ray of Okemah and Charlotte Stacy of Okemah; one brother, Danny McEwin and wife Debbie of Okemah; two sisters, Judy Vanderslice of Okemah and Debbie Ponder and husband Mike of Okemah; 10 grandchildren, Autumn and Summer Spain, Caiden Bullard, Daniel Barrett, Tyler Lyn Stacy, Elijah Spain, Hailey Tipton, Raedacii Lucas, Abbrieonna Lucas and Rilyc Lucas and three great grandchildren (+1 more on the way), Mizel and Rayden Joseph and Americus Bullard.
Services will be under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Home, Okemah, Oklahoma.
