Levine Harjo, resident of Dustin, Oklahoma was born in Claremore, Oklahoma to J.W. Harjo and Naomi Ruth (Simmer) Harjo. Family and friends knew her as Lee or Fatso. She went to the Lord’s house on March 12, 2025. She blended her church and ceremonial family to enjoy both. She was baptized and a member of the Greenleaf Missionary Baptist Church and being the children’s Sunday school teacher. Attending as often as her health would let her. She was always volunteering at functions, whether running a charity game or helping in the kitchen. Levine was a member of Greenleaf ceremonial grounds and also made camp at Peachground. One of her most memorable accomplishments was being chosen to be Head Lady at both grounds. She was an amazing shell shaker who was invited to exhibitions and featured on stompdance recordings of traditional songs. She worked hard for her kids and grandchildren, working in food service or working in sewing factories. She liked to go to the casino and attend benefit bingos. Doing puzzles with Rhonda at home, watching Walker was the best part of her day. She loved learning new pastry recipes and mastered making her raisin pies while watching pioneer woman. She adored her grandkids and loved to spoil them and showering them with love. Even in a wheelchair she would cook just to make sure everyone was fed. Lee had a wicked sense of humor. Sometimes you never knew what she would say and always made you laugh. She is dearly missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her children, Alice Johnson and spouse Steven of Tulsa, Rhonda Harjo of the home, Stormy Harjo and spouse of Oklahoma City and Aaron Harjo of Dustin; grandchildren, Peyton Harjo, HvHv Harjo, Levi Harjo, Ileyana Harjo, Sally Nester, Eilan Harjo, Chaytan Johnson, Kimimela Johnson, Gavin Walls and Ramello Harjo and special friend, Andy Ray Butler.
