Randall Ray “Randy” Cottrell was born July 18, 1958 in Okmulgee, Oklahoma to Lillard Charles Cottrell and Wanda Theralene (Roork) Cottrell. He passed away Saturday, April 12, 2025 at his home in Midwest City, Oklahoma at the age of 66.
Randy was a resident of Midwest City, Oklahoma and a 1976 graduate of Okemah High School. On May 13, 1978, in Castle, Oklahoma, he married Donna Thomas. Randy retired after proudly serving his country with the United States Air Force, having been stationed in Korea. Randy was a very talented guitarist, song writer, producer and musician. Music was a true passion. Later in life, he also enjoyed woodworking. Randy made so many friends throughout his music career that he loved and who will miss him dearly.
He is preceded in death by his parents and one son, Jeremy Todd Cottrell.
Survivors include his wife, Donna of the home; his son, Chris Cottrell of Edmond; one brother, Ron Cottrell and wife Vivian of Tahlequah and three grandchildren, Bailey, Kinley and Brooklyn Cottrell.
Services will be under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Home, Okemah, Oklahoma.
