Melinda Kay Lindsey was born August 20, 1958 in Fairfax, Oklahoma to Carl Clayton Bonner and Cleta Faye (Gordon) Bonner. She passed away Thursday, June 19, 2025 in Okemah at the age of 66.
Melinda was a lifelong resident of the Okemah area. She and Lloyd Wayne Lindsey were married in 1977 in Okemah. Melinda worked for many years as a home health provider and was a devoted member of the 8th Street Holiness Church. She enjoyed cooking, taking care of her animals and loved her family dearly.
She is preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Carla Faye Bonner and three grandchildren, Alexis, Easton and Milliena.
Survivors include her husband, Lloyd Wayne Lindsey of Castle; two sons, Keith Bear of Castle and Clayton Lindsey and wife Janice also of Castle; one daughter, Tabatha Lindsey of Castle; one sister, Janie Montgomery and husband Joey of Welty; 9 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Active pallbearers will be Cory Baker, Kaiden Bear, Gary Montgomery, Fantasha Lindsey, Keyana Lindsey and Clayton Lindsey.
Honorary bearers include Mark Rich, Matt Stubblefield, Chip Montgomery, Dale Montgomery and Keith Bear.
Services will be under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Home, Okemah, Oklahoma and officiated by Sister Charlsie Rich.
