Thlopthlocco Tribal Town is soliciting bids from qualified contractors for the completion of a partially constructed childcare facility located in Okemah, Oklahoma. The project includes completion of all construction necessary to deliver a fully operational, code-compliant childcare facility, including roofing, exterior finishes, HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, interior finishes, life safety systems, and associated site work. Qualified contractors must provide: Detailed pricing breakdown; Estimated project timeline; Proof of licensing and insurance; Relevant commercial or childcare construction experience. A mandatory site visit will be scheduled prior to bid submission. Contractors are responsible for verifying all existing conditions and dimensions. Native American, Indian-owned businesses are encouraged to apply. Native preference will be applied in accordance with Tribal and applicable federal requirements. NOW, on this 22nd day of June, 2026 there having been produced in this Court an instrument purporting to be the Last Will and Testament of Sylvia Marie Eddings, deceased, with a Petition praying that the Will be admitted to probate, that Pamela Jean James, the person named as the Personal Representative in the Will, be appointed Personal Representative of the estate, that the Court enter an order waiving the filing of an inventory and appraisal, that the heirs, devisees and legatees of said decedent be determined by the Court, and that Letters Testamentary be issued to Pamela Jean James.
IT IS HEREBY ORDERED AND NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN That said Petition be and hereby is set for hearing on the 28th day of July, 2026 at 9:30 a.m. in the District Courtroom, Okfuskee County Courthouse 209 N 3rd St, Okemah, Oklahoma when and where all persons interested may appear and contest the same.
IT IS FURTHER ORDERED that notice thereof be given by publication and by mailing a copy of the Notice of Hearing Petition to all the heirs, devisees and legatees of the decedent as required by law.

LEGAL NOTICE
The Board of County Commissioners met in regular session in the office of the Board of County Commissioners on June 15, 2026, with the following members present: James Yandell, Chairman; Randy Stubblefield, Vice-Chairman; Mike Yocham, Member; Teresa Harelson, County Clerk.
The meeting was called to order at 9:00 a.m. by Chairman Yandell with the flag salute.
Roll call was taken and a quorum declared.
The Board reviewed the minutes from the prior meetings. Motion was made by Mike Yocham and seconded by Randy Stubblefield to approve the minutes of June 8, 2026. Motion carried. Votes: Yocham-Aye; Stubblefield-Aye; Yandell-Abstain.
Safety/Emergency Management Director George Jones advised the Board he had met the State EM Coordinator at a training. He stated he was working on a template to show incidents for the County and asked that CC-2 forms be submitted to him also. General discussion with no action taken.
Acting Sheriff Amber Gaskins advised the Board that two AC units were out at the jail; in the kitchen and server room. They are still under a partial contract with Trane and the cost of the repairs will be $9,997.00. Gaskin stated she has visited with Kelch for a quote on circumventing the Trane software program to allow for better control of the system and more affordable repairs. All Board members stated they would help with funding if it was needed for the repairs. General discussion with no action taken.
The Board reviewed check #1610 from Hughes County for May inmate housing in the amount of $2,391.76. Motion made by Randy Stubblefield and seconded by Mike Yocham to accept the check to be deposited by the Co Treasurer to SH Service Fee (Boarding of Prisoners) Cash Fund. Motion carried. Votes: Stubblefield-Aye: Yocham-Aye; Yandell-Aye.
The Board reviewed the Officers’ Monthly Reports for May 2026. Motion was made by Mike Yocham and seconded by Randy Stubblefield to approve the Monthly Reports as follows: Crt Clerk $266,188.94. Motion carried. Votes: Yocham-Aye; Stubblefield-Aye; Yandell-Aye.
The Board reviewed the Court Clerk Records Management and Preservation Monthly Report for May 2026 in the amount of $18,211.33. Motion was made by Randy Stubblefield and seconded by Mike Yocham to approve the Report. Motion carried. Votes: Yocham-Aye; Stubblefield-Aye; Yandell-Aye.
The Board reviewed the County Deed of Property Acquired at Resale to the City Okemah. The City of Okemah presented a letter to the Treasurer requesting any and all property with a lien for abatement as nuisance property by the city that are not sold at the June tax sale be bid off in the name of the City of Okemah. The deed contains properties with no other bids except by the City of Okemah for city liens against them:
Lot 5 Block 3 Okemah Proper;
E 90’ S ½ Block 6 Mckinney Addition;
Lots 3-7 Block 22 Liza Harjo Addition Okemah City;
Lot 9 Block 6 McMahan Additon 1987 Ranger 16×80 Ser#50501123 OTC #552487021003;

The Board reviewed the Road Crossing Permit for RWD#3 located in 23-11-11 East of Pharoah Church on 1100 Rd. Motion made by Randy Stubblefield and seconded by Mike Yocham to approve the Permit. Motion carried. Votes: Yocham-Aye; Stubblefield-Aye; Yandell-Aye.
